In some cases, Cumberland Building Society accounts (sort code 165221) fail the Bank Wizard modulus check, but the account number is accepted by the bank.
The Cumberland Building Society has changed the format of the account number issued to customers on several occasions.
All customers have been issued with new account numbers which will pass modulus checking. The old account numbers are still accepted by the bank for historical reasons, but Bank Wizard cannot validate them.
Contact the Building Society to obtain the correct (new) account number.
