Bank Wizard returns the error ”Account number format incorrect” when I enter an eight-zero (00000000) account number with a valid sort code.
This error is returned unless the sort code and eight-zero account number have been confirmed as a valid combination and added to the Bank Wizard tables.
Eight-zero account numbers are usually Collection Accounts. For these accounts you typically also have to provide a roll or reference number.
Contact the Experian Data team so that they can investigate whether this combination is valid. If it is valid, it will be added to the database table files in a future release.
